Homily - June 20th, 2021 – Father’s Day – 12th Sunday in Ordinary Time - Rev. James L. Nadeau, Pastor
Father’s Day – Learning what true fatherhood is should be the aspiration of every Catholic Dad * – A call to Arms to follow the example of St. Joseph.
Example in Action Be an example through action. As a father, children will be watching your example of piety and pursuit of holiness much more than words. You can tell them all the right things, but unless you are living a devout life, it will ring hollow. A dad’s job is a manly and saintly undertaking.
Love Your Wife The first gift every father could give to his children is to love their mother and to make any sacrifice necessary to remain faithful to her, to cling to her and make sure the marriage is strong.
Keep Priorities in Order Vocation to fatherhood is more important than career. Paying attention to children and caring about they care about is a tremendous gift.
