Did you ever notice that all our attempts to solve the most basic problem of human life have failed?
            After 1,000 years, we have tamed the moon, but we have not tamed the moon.
            We have reached the heavens, but we have not reached heaven itself.
            We have controlled nature, but not our own nature.
            We have gained the whole world and lost our own soul.

You see we are in a story. The story is real; it is about real people who suffer, who sin, and who die – therefore, the solution must be real. God must do something because we did something. He must do something, not just say something, because actions speak louder than words.

God did do something. He came into history. Jesus was born to show us the way. He lived, he died….

Lent is our time to return to the Lord, to act, to do.
We tamed the moon, now we need to try to tame ourselves to save our soul as to reach heaven itself.
If we cannot control ourselves, then the devil will control us.

These next 40 days tell a story, our story. How will you spend them! Embrace Lenten disciplines.
